WHAT’S THE NEIGHBORHOOD?

Our Community

You are not alone! The Messy Family Neighborhood exists to bring together parents who are committed to cultivating a dynamic Catholic family culture within their homes. This is done through relationships, resources, and mentoring with Mike and Alicia. We launched the Messy Family Neighborhood as an online membership community to serve parents who desire to invest more time to grow as moms and dads, husbands and wives, and support others along the journey as well.

What do our members receive?

Connection

Through our Neighborhood site you will have the opportunity to connect with other “messy families” who are doing their best to love and raise their children in the faith. There are forums, discussion groups, online chats and even prayer groups! You can get advice and recommendations, ask for recipes or craft ideas, or share prayer intentions. We have found amazing Catholic families all over the world and we are proud to bring you a place to connect with them.

Resources

On the Neighborhood site you will find all the written resources you can find on this website, but easily listed and available to be downloaded in one place. And we have some hidden gems on there, just for our members!

Also, we would love all of our members to access everything we have, so there are discounts on all our courses as well as some of the special seasonal gifts we offer.

Visits with Mike and Alicia

Our Neighborhood members have a special connection with us. God has called us to serve Catholic families and that means that we have to know them! We have been able to connect with our members on the member site itself where you can message us directly, ask questions on the forum, or ask us in person on our date nights!

We host online Date Nights for members to come together and have some enrichment on topics pertaining to Catholic family life. Occasionally we have guest speakers, or members take time to introduce themselves, or we will have a social night with games, small groups and fun activities!

My wife and I often feel as if we live on an island surrounded by a culture that does not meet our Catholic ideals. It is nice to have a podcast to be turn to for ideas on how to handle these situations. The Messy Family Project podcast has repeatedly been there for us as a source of information and through the Neighborhood has offered us a network of people who have similar ideals. This has made our lives feel less isolated. Thank you!

As a young Catholic couple, it is helpful to talk with other couples who have been married longer than we have! No one ever talks about how hard marriage and parenting can be and, when things get a little rocky, it can feel a little like you're isolated. After joining the member site, we felt much less alone and like we had a "neighborhood" we could lean on!
